The winter season is upon us! Many of us are fortunate to have the luxuries and comforts that make this time of year so special. Unfortunately, there are too many people in our city who face food insecurity.

We are proud to announce our SIXTH YEAR of Warm Winters! With your help, this annual tradition allows us to give to those in need during the long winter months. This year, we have chosen to contribute to Daily Bread Food Bank.

We, along with Daily Bread Food Bank, believe that access to food is a basic human right, not a privilege. No one should go hungry or face barriers to accessing food.

Here are the most-needed food items:

• Baby food and formula
• Peanut butter
• Canned fish and meat
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Rice, grains, lentils, beans
• Dried pasta
• Pasta sauce and canned tomatoes (whole or crushed)
• Cans of soup and stew
• Powdered, canned and tetra pak milk

While it may be tempting to simply clean out your cupboards, please check expiry dates and only include non-perishable foods.
